The proposed India Water Security Conclave seeks to engage with the additional dimension of coping with emerging risks. It is the second in the series that was launched at the India Water Week in 2022. It recognizes that India's water security deliberations must address the challenges beyond the known linked to quantity, equity and quality. The paradigms and pathways towards long-term water security must cope with risks predominantly associated with climate change. The truncated conclave will focus and deliberate on the theme of water security risks and coping with them. Vision 2047 must address and accommodate concerted and coherent responses to deal with these emerging risks. These warrant reimagining new governance structures and pathways enabling the necessary transboundary and multijurisdictional coordination. It also requires reevaluating the paradigms such as storage structures. The conclave is proposed to be over two sequential sessions constituting expert presentations and a panel discussion.
